PHIBROWS MICROBLADING

WHAT IS PHIBROWS?

PhiBrows is the most advanced Microblading treatment available in the beauty industry to date.

PhiBrows uses a hyper realistic technique of drawing the eyebrow hairs manually (using microblading).

The treatment creates natural beauty as well as harmony between the facial features by using the Phi Golden Ratio 1.618 (found in nature) to measures the perfect brows for your face shape.

A microblade is used to create the illusion of hair strokes to ensure the most natural effect is achieved and steering clear of old-fashioned tattooing techniques which result in discoloration and the ‘felt-pen effect’.

Phibrows follows the flow of the natural hair, rather than upwards and sideways strokes used in common techniques which appear overly uniform and unrealistic. The PhiBrows method in semi- permanent makeup creates the effect of the full and balanced brows by measuring the perfect shape, filling in any gaps or sparse areas, resulting in a defined and enhanced shape.

PhiBrows microblading is based on the “Phi” ratio (1.618), also known as the “Golden ratio”. This is what maps out the distance between all of our facial features. This means that the eyebrows measured for you will be in perfect accordance with your other features and therefore, a perfect fit.

Not only is the microblading technique superior but the products used.

PhiBrows organic pigments used are of mineral origin, without heavy metals, assimilating with your skin pigments and in a variety of colours and blends, in order to get a perfect colour-match.

The colours fade naturally, unlike other brands; known to fade into greys, blue or pink hues as time goes on.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

LONG LASTING

Microbladed brows last a huge

10-18 months before requiring a top-up.

Your brows fade naturally if left (no pink, blue or grey tones found in old techniques!)

LOW MAINTENANCE

Ditch the brow pencils for perfect brows that don't come off (great for holidays, rainy-days and on no-makeup days).

Plus, now your brows are perfectly shaped, easily pluck around the shape yourself or get them waxed/threaded to your new shape.

PERFECT BROWS

Balance, enhance and perfect.  PhiBrows measures the perfect brows for your face, replenishing sparse areas and refining the shape to frame the face and define the arch. This creates more symmetry in the face, which according to science, makes us more attractive.

HOW IT WORKS

Microblading is performed by the manual deposit of pigment under the epidermal layer of the skin by a hand held manual tool; therefore, small discomfort during the procedure will be present as minor breakage of the skin is taking place.

Unlike permanent eyebrow tattooing, microblading involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are far more natural and soft in appearance.

The handheld microblade is several times thinner than the needles used for tattooing and compared to using a PMU machine, microblading strokes heal a lot more effectively; they are thinner and crisper and do not blur.

Microblading corrects imperfections and enhances your natural brows.

Your new brows will last 10-18 months before a top-up appointment is needed to maintain them. (The microblading will fade naturally if not topped up).

When getting Microblading for the first time, two appointments will be necessary; the first appointment will take 2 hours to create your new brows. The second appointment, 4-5 weeks later is to check on their healing and replenish faded hair-strokes.

You can expect a little discomfort during the treatment but nothing you can't handle!

  • WHAT IS PHI BROWS MICROBLADING?
PhiBrows Microblading is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion (phi 1,618). to app settings and press "Manage Questions" button.
  • WHY PHI BROWS?
The Phi Brows patterns are hyper-realistic and follow the growth-pattern of the natural hairs far better than standard Microblading practices and therefore Phi Brows is considered one of the most superior Microblading Techniques available. The technique is intended for anyone that wants to correct the aesthetic problems of their eyebrows (fill in gaps, create a full and even finish, change the shape). (persons under 18 must be accompanied by their parent/guardian) Treatment is done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard (PhiBrows microblading pigments). Pigment is applied manually in the surface layer of the dermis. Pigment Colour is determined according to the natural colour of the eyebrows and hair. After healing, pigment can become several nuances brighter compared to natural hair colour. You will need a Top-Up one month after the treatment as 10-20% of strokes are lost after the first treatment.
  • IS IT PAINFUL?
Pain during the treatment is relative. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare such pain with the one that they feel when plucking out their eyebrows. Women on their period experience an increased sensitivity to pain, so it is not recommended to do the treatment during this time. Anaesthetic, in the form of cream or liquid, is used to completely eliminate pain during the second half of the treatment.
  • BEFORE THE TREATMENT...
Before the treatment, it is necessary to have a Consultation to check the skin and fill in some Medical Forms, as well answer a questions you may have. In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be in the regeneration process, i.e. it must not be damaged. If there is eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area Abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments and similar should be avoided a month before the treatment. Also, one month before the treatment, botox or fillers should not be used.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
This depends on the oiliness of the skin. The oilier the skin is the shorter pigment retention is. Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention. On average, expected time until new refreshment of pigment is 10 to 12 months. If the skin is oily, it takes up to 8 months. The healing process takes 28 days later and then it is necessary to have a ‘touch-up’ (add the pigment that was lost in the healing process). If the skin is problematic and oily, several such corrections may need to be made.
  • AFTER THE TREATMENT - WHAT TO EXPECT?
Inserted pigment is very dark during the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses up to 40% of its intensity. If you think that pigment is too dark, do not try to fade it by yourself. Be patient, wait up to 7 days until it fades away naturally. After 10-14 days your brows will fade quite dramatically due to skin healing over the pigment, however, your brows will soon reappear after the two-week point.
  • DO I NEED TO HAVE THE TOP-UP APPOINTMENT?
Yes. A touch up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. It is normal to lose 10-20% of strokes after your first treatment and sometimes more. Pigment colour may need to be adjusted and faded areas retouched. Individuals with oily skin may require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is to ensure they retain their colour for the whole year.
  • CAN I GET MY TOP-UP SOONER THAN 4 WEEKS?
Touch up sessions should not be done earlier than 4 weeks after initial microblading session as pigment colour has not fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires time to completely heal.
  • AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Within 30 minutes of the procedure, clean brows using a cotton pad and lightly moisten with distilled or cooled-downed boiled water. Gently wipe away the old healing balm and any lymphatic liquid (clear yellowish liquid) that may have built up. Lightly pat dry with tissue and using a cotton bud, re-apply healing balm to the brows. On the day of the procedure, you must repeat this process up to 4 times (if done in the morning) Make sure to apply a light layer of healing balm morning and night to brows for at least 5-7 days. Do not over apply healing balm. Do not immerse brow area in water for 14 days. When showering, make sure to avoid face area. When cleaning or washing face, make sure to avoid brows and clean around it. Do not put makeup on the brow area for a minimum of 10 days. Microbladed area is an open wound, using makeup may cause infections. Avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 24 hours. The brow area will feel slightly itchy as it heals and will start to lightly scab over. Do not peel or pick at the scabs as this can affect the outcome and pigmentation. Do not expose brows to hot sun or go swimming, tanning or into saunas for at least 14 days. No botox, face scrubs or chemical peels at least 2 weeks after.
  • WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE PROCEDURE? MICROBLADING IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING CANDIDATES:
    - Using Accutane - Have heart conditions or using heart medications - Have diabetes (will require a physician’s note) - Have skin disease or irritations - Have had Botox in the last 2 weeks - Have gotten a deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks - Allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine - Anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a physician’s note. - Pregnant or nursing clients who want to microblade can be done at your own discretion, discuss with your doctor first. Microblading is still considered a tattoo, it is a personal choice to do so during this period. - A Full Consultation Form will need to be filled before the procedure and doctors note may be required in certain circumstances.
  • RISKS & COMPLICATIONS?
I take all proper precautions for a safe session by using sterilised equipment, new needles and in a sanitised environment. Should clients follow our pre and post care instructions, there should be minimal risks or complications. Although allergic reactions to the pigments are rare, it could be possible for certain individuals. We suggest a pigment patch test for individuals who have high skin sensitivities or are sensitive to: Topical makeup products Gold, silver and nickel Hair dyes Patch tests should be performed 5-7 days prior.
  • WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE IT?
As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. It is always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists’ work and portfolio when making their decisions. I do the utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realise our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session. Pigment discolouration and colour correction can also be fixed during the the touch up session. Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch ups are done.
